What I Bring to the Table

A lifetime in Campbell River, a proven record of growing a local business, and a commitment to showing up for this community.

Deep Community Roots

I have watched Campbell River evolve and have a deep understanding of our community's needs, the value of reliable long-standing services, and the essential role small businesses and local industries play in our economy and in sustaining the programs and amenities residents rely on.

Business Experience

I owned Eden Street Salon and Day Spa for 20 years, giving me practical, hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and economic development.

Community Growth

As a Board member of Community Futures, we have actively supported local businesses and helped foster community growth.

Governance Experience

Through my work with the BC Legislature, I bring insight into governmental processes and policymaking, and how they affect municipalities like ours.

Community Volunteer

I am committed to community service and civic engagement through a range of volunteer roles. I continue to support local fundraising efforts through my participation and volunteer work. Recently, I joined the Rotary Club and volunteer with the Salvation Army Ocean Crest Community Ministries in Campbell River.

Outdoor Enthusiast

I am passionate about how parks and outdoor activities improve our health and well-being, and I will bring that perspective to community planning and recreation initiatives.

Committed to Campbell River

Why I’m Running

I am running to put my work ethic and integrity to work for Campbell River at the local level.

As a small business owner for 20 years, I understand budgeting, fiscal responsibility, and the duty to manage public funds carefully. My experience with provincial legislation, working with various ministries, and helping constituents navigate government systems has given me practical insight into how higher levels of government affect our city.

I also serve on the board of Community Futures, where we help current business owners secure the resources they need to grow and support new entrepreneurs as they turn ideas into reality.

Growing up in Campbell River, I am deeply invested in this community. I cherish time spent outdoors with my husband, our dog, and my horse, and I believe access to nature is essential for mental and physical health.
